Hi.
I work as an account executive for a minority daily newspaper in the US. Unlike other A/E in mainstream media, I can very less money. I want to set up relationships with big advertising agencies to expand my network, and eventually draw ads into my newspaper.
I tried so many advertising agencies, but all I had are voice mails and no responses except the front desk receptionist.
My question is how can I reach those people in advertising agencies?
Any advice is welcomed.

Given the economic bloom that India is experiencing it is very obvious to assume that any business or money grossing sector could do without a Public Relation Agency or a department of their own. Whether it is corporate or IT, entertainment or media, every other money making mogul will have a PR organization solely for the reason to increase their stakes and that could only be possible by reaching out to the maximum amount of person or public on a whole. All in all you could say ‘Brand Effectiveness’ largely depends on the sort of PR working for them. Today you have Big time celebrities who are going all the way to hire PR agencies to market them to the masses. Right from cinestars, to sports icons, to politicians to party socialites and to even Social workers every one has a PR firm or a personal executive to keep them updated. Carrying out a PR campaign isn’t that easy, specially with the rovering eye of the media. One has to understand the psyche and activities involved within and around the media with an alert mind. One should always remember public relation is a process of building better and effective relations for the growth of any business. Hence if you are trying to propel your business to a different level all together then it is high time that you hire a dependable PR firm to do that for you. Always remember if you fail to connect with the masses your business is a failure. There are millions who do the same business, how could you beat the competition and prove that you are better depends on the PR agency that you are hiring. After all what finally sells is the brand name isn’t it??.

How much do advertising agencies here in the Philippines charge? For example a TVC? POPs? Print ads? A full campaign for a client? It would also be very helpful to know the rates of big agencies (like BBDO Guerrero, TBWA, Publicis Jimenez Basic, Ogilvy, Etc.) and the smaller players in the industry. Thanks
